Frequently asked questions
Do I need to already have the images to compress them?
Yes — first extract images from a page or website (that's what the URL box above does), then select the ones you want and choose Optimize to compress them.
Will compression reduce image dimensions too?
Not unless you also enable resize — compression only affects encoding quality and file size, dimensions stay the same.
