About Bandcamp
Bandcamp, launched in 2008, is built around independent artists selling and sharing music directly with fans, with the artist keeping most of the revenue. A large share of what's on Bandcamp is priced normally, but many artists also release tracks, EPs, or full albums as a free download or name-your-price — you choose what to pay, including nothing.
Our downloader is meant for that free and name-your-price content, which artists have already chosen to make downloadable. It won't get you a paid release without going through Bandcamp's own purchase flow — that's by design, not a limitation to work around.
